Fans spot King Charles ‘showing he won’t be pushed around’ by Trump | Royal | News

Royal fans have spotted a major clue that King Charles won’t be “pushed around” by US President Donald Trump. The King and the American President met again on Monday, seven months after his State Visit to Britain last year.

In the video taken shortly after the King and Queen landed in Washington DC, President Trump can be seen entering to shake hands with the King, while their spouses greet each other with a kiss.

While fans appeared to notice Trump’s strong grip on the King’s hand, the monarch appeared reluctant to offer such a firm handshake.

One fan going to X wrote alongside the video: “Trump is trying the toxic beta-male handshake and Charles is doing absolutely none of it.”

Another added: “Trump tried, Charles said no!” [wide-smile emoji]”

The comments below the video showed a series of videos of Trump shaking hands with various political figures who had similar reactions to the King.

One fan commented: “Donald Trump “He did this to Emmanuel Macron several times, Trump cannot hide his anger and disdain.”

One fan wrote to X: “Why is there a car blocking the view of the King and Queen during the national anthems? Bizarre American protocol error about 2 minutes into the journey.”

To mark the end of their first day in the US, the King and Queen joined 650 guests at a lavish garden party in Washington DC.
