Farage left waiting as Jenrick fails to appear at Reform unveiling | News

This is the awkward moment Nigel Farage was left on hold after Robert Jenrick failed to attend his own Reform UK launch.

Mr Jenrick was sacked from the Tory cabinet by leader Kemi Badenoch on Thursday (January 15) after she accused him of “conspiring to escape”.

Just hours later, after announcing Mr Jenrick as the new member of the party, Mr Farage was left looking stunned when the former Tory MP failed to appear on stage.

“This would really put a lid on everything,” he said. More than a minute later, Mr Jenrick finally appeared on stage and Mr Farage told him: “I didn’t know where you were going.”
