Queensland Police search for missing pilot after Gulf Country crash

An urgent search continues for the missing pilot after a plane crashed in Queensland’s Bay Area.

Emergency services were called to the crash near Normanton Airport in the Gulf Savannah region just after 8pm on Friday.

The pilot was the only person on board.

A Queensland police spokesman said the incident was ongoing.

“At this time, emergency services had difficulty accessing the scene of the accident and injuries to the occupants are unknown,” officials said.
