While the police intervened in the incident, armed officers rushed to the closed Farringdon Station. Police also patrol the area, trains do not stop at the station in either direction.

TFL says there is no service between Paddington and Abbey Wood.

In a statement, ThamesLink said: “Emergency services are attending to an incident at Farringdon station.

“The station is closed until further notice and there will be no trains coming here in either direction.”
