Father says ex-wife didn’t supervise son who’s focus of probe into stepsister’s cruise ship death

TITUSVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A 16-year-old boy who is the subject of an FBI investigation death of older half-sister The father said in family court documents that he never got permission from his father while on a Carnival cruise ship last month, accusing his ex-wife of not keeping an eye on the teenager.
The teenage boy and his 18-year-old half-sister, Anna Kepner, were allowed to share a room on the cruise ship and the boy’s mother “did not properly supervise” the teenager, father Thomas Hudson said in a court motion on Thursday seeking increased visitation with the two children he shares with his ex-wife.
Kepner was found strangled under a bed in the room he shared with the teenage boy on the ship, Hudson said in court documents.

Kepner’s death aboard the ship sailing from Miami remained a mystery because the FBI and the coroner’s office in South Florida refused to release any information about the case for weeks.
Phone messages left for family members were not immediately answered Friday.
