Father Seeks Probe Into Daughter’s Death, Meets Vizag DCP

Visakhapatnam: P. Sudhakar, a former army soldier from Visakhapatnam, filed a complaint with the police, raising suspicion over the death of his daughter P. Radha Gayatri, who died under mysterious circumstances at a hotel in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Her husband Sai Charan was in the room.

In his complaint to the DCP, Sudhakar said that Gayatri was in regular contact with them during the trip. However, it was reported that she did not wake up on the morning of June 14 and reported that her husband had passed away around 10:00. He strongly believed that, given the sudden and unexpected nature of his death, the circumstances warranted a thorough and impartial investigation.

He said his wife’s behavior during the last ceremonies held on June 16 raised serious concerns. From the first days of their marriage, he exhibited extremely suspicious and controlling tendencies.

While living in Hyderabad, he kept an eye on visitors by watching CCTV footage of their homes with the help of a watchman. Even though they were both working in different cities, he was tracking their movements. He allegedly planted a tracking device in her purse without her knowledge or consent. He frequently questioned her about her colleagues and subjected her to mental abuse by making baseless allegations of extramarital affairs. After moving to Delhi, he would insist on video calls during his commute in office taxis and even during working hours, demanding to see his surroundings and colleagues.

This behavior interfered with his professional responsibilities and caused significant emotional distress. However, he concealed his true behavior by portraying himself as a caring and respectable husband in front of both families.

Despite repeatedly questioning the circumstances surrounding the death, Sai Charan could not provide clear information and remained silent.

Sudhakar later handed over the mobile phones of his daughter Gayatri and her husband Sai Charan to the DCP.
