FIRST ON FOX: As federal agents hit the streets of Minnesota this week, Fox News Digital has obtained new details about some of the “worst of the worst” criminal illegal immigrants arrested in the past 24 hours; a list that includes convicted pedophiles, sexual abusers and drug traffickers.
The new information follows a news conference Friday, where Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino spoke about immigration enforcement in Minneapolis and emphasized the importance of agents’ recent operations.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials told Fox News Digital that in addition to the two criminal illegal immigrant arrests highlighted at the blue city press conference, others abducted during Operation Metro Surge on Thursday were convicted of sex crimes against children, domestic abuse and drug trafficking.

“DHS law enforcement continues to clear violent illegal aliens from Minnesota’s streets. Just yesterday, they arrested pedophiles, sexual abusers, and drug traffickers in Minnesota,” DHS Deputy Secretary Tricia McLaughlin wrote in a statement. “Many of these public safety threats have been released from Minnesota prisons.”
McLaughlin added that DHS is calling on Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey to honor Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainees related to the more than 1,360 illegal immigrants in Minnesota prisons.
“Despite the horrific slurs and violent attacks against them, our officers continue to risk their lives to apprehend the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens,” he said.
