Federal Government pours $12bn into new defence precinct to deliver naval shipbuilding and AUKUS capabilities in WA

Billions of dollars are poured into a new defense zone in Western Australia to support continuous shipbuilding and AUKUS capabilities.
Prime Minister Anthony Arbanese will be at Perth on Sunday and will announce $ 12 billion to the new region in Henderson near Hmas Stirling.
Henderson is an important industrial area that supports defense, sea, shipbuilding and resource industry in the south of Perth.
The Prime Minister said there was another government investment that provides a record defense financing to support Australia’s capabilities.
“This world -class region will create strong opportunities for more than 10,000 local business and local industry,” he said.
“There is no greater honor than serving our country in the uniform of our nation, and my government is dedicated to investing in the defense skills required by our country.”
This financing is the first $ 127 million commitment to the progress planning for the defense zone, which is considered a national strategic asset for national security.

Finance has initiated the planning and early work of the new region, which is expected to cost about $ 25 billion in the next decade.
It is the basis for building surface ships for the Australian defense force, including the art of landing and general purposes of the army.
The region will accommodate facilities to protect Australia’s surface fighter fleet, and to provide unexpected situations for traditional armed nuclear nuclear nuclear submarine fleet and maintenance and cemetery nests from 2030 onwards.
Talents are critical for Aukus and to prepare Australia for the first Virginia class submarine in the early 2030s.
Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles, Defense Personnel Minister Matt Kegh and Premier Roger Cook will join the Prime Minister to make announcements.

Marles said that the Albanian government continues to increase Australia’s defense expenditures to record levels to meet the talent needs of Australia.
“Henderson will be critical for the shipbuilding and continuing industry of Australia, while supporting continuous maritime construction in Western Australia and Australia’s nuclear -energy submarine on the nuclear submarine.
“We are announcing additional financing to start conducting key programs for the Australian defense forces in less than one year after our announcement to establish the defense zone in Henderson.”
Defense Industry Minister Pat Conroy said that Western Australia has already played an important role in presenting talents for the Australian defense force.
“The consolidation of the Henderson region will be a significant support for the defense industry in the West,” he said.
“In the next twenty years, approximately 10,000 talented, good paid work will support and help people in Western Australia to create big future for themselves and their families.”
