Griffin had been outspoken about competing against a biological male transgender athlete at USMS as far back as May 2025, when she told Fox News Digital that she encountered a transgender competitor at a meet in San Antonio but did not even learn the athlete’s birth gender until after the event.
Now he claims that this victimization could cost him all his USMS records.
“Just because I spoke an opinion and honestly spoke the truth, they could probably take away all my time, any recognition that I had, and they could probably erase me from the US Masters,” Griffin told Fox News Digital this week.

Griffin said he has now hired a representative as he tries to fight the complaint.
“I attempted to file a motion to dismiss the case, proving that I was not bullying anyone online, but merely publishing facts that anyone could find,” he added.
After the USMS updated its gender eligibility policy last June to restrict biological males from competing in women’s events, the organization updated its policy again this February to comply with state and local nondiscrimination laws, mostly addressing the men’s/open category, which is open to all competitors regardless of birth sex.
