Fernandez Champions Circle of Care this Breastfeeding Week

The Women’s First Hospital is running a one-week campaign between 1 and 7 August 2025, based on global theme, “breastfeeding first: creating sustainable support systems”-From hospital to hospital to home, from hospital to home.

Thanks to a seven -day video series with doctors, nurses, midwives, physiotherapists and breastfeeding consultants, they emit a key message that supports the first, most powerful connection with the mother’s child. A special social assistance program at the University of Hyderabad includes informative sessions about breastfeeding, practical breastfeeding tips, nutrition positions, breast pumps and milk storage and an art competition for staff.

In the first video, there are neonatologists and nicu teams to ensure that premature babies get their mother’s milk as early as possible, because research is not just nutrition, but medication.
