Fertiliser security strong and stable: Union Government

Amid criticism from the Opposition that the Center has failed to ensure supply of cooking gas and fertilizers, the Union Fertilizers Ministry said here on Monday (April 27, 2026) that the country’s fertilizer security remains “strong, stable and well-managed” and availability has consistently exceeded the requirement of all major fertilisers.

Speaking at an inter-ministerial briefing on the impact of recent developments in West Asia on the availability and production of fertilisers, Fertilizers Department Additional Secretary Aparna S. Sharma said retail prices of Urea, Di Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) and Triple Superphosphate (TSP) will remain unchanged at ₹266.5, ₹1,350 and ₹1,300 per bag respectively.
