FIFA World Cup 2026 Today Match Schedule (20 June): Check India time, streaming details and more

The fight for a place in the FIFA 2026 World Cup Round of 32 intensifies as the second round of group stage fixtures begins on 20 June. While some teams could book an early knockout with back-to-back wins, others are already struggling to keep their World Cup dreams alive after lackluster starts.

Brazil and the Netherlands, one of the favorites of the tournament, are entering critical matches to get their first victory. Elsewhere, the USA, Australia, Morocco and Sweden will aim to build on their positive opening performances and move closer to qualifying.

A look at the FIFA World Cup matches on June 20:

USA vs Australia

Group D leaders USA and Australia faced each other in one of the biggest matches of the day after starting their season with convincing wins.
While the Americans defeated Paraguay 4-1 with Folarin Balogun leading the attack elegantly, Australia defeated Türkiye 2-0 with its all-round disciplined performance. With Christian Pulisic expected to recover from a minor calf problem in time for kick-off, the Socceroos will once again rely on the creativity of Nestory Irankunda, who made eight saves in the opener, and goalkeeper Patrick Beach.

The winner will take a giant step towards the knockout stage.

Scotland vs Morocco

Scotland and Morocco face off in a high-stakes Group C clash, with both sides hoping for a second positive result.
Scotland defeated Haiti 1-0 in their opening match but struggled to create clear opportunities. Morocco, meanwhile, received plenty of praise after holding Brazil to a 1-1 draw with Ismael Saibari on target and the Atlas Lions looking to the more dangerous side for big spells. Steve Clarke is unlikely to make any major changes, while Morocco will continue to rely on the attacking threat of Achraf Hakimi and Brahim Diaz.

Brazil – Haiti

Brazil cannot tolerate another mistake when it faces Haiti in its second match in Group C.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men drew 1-1 with Morocco and need all three points before they face Scotland in their final group game. Brazil have historically dominated this fixture, winning all three previous encounters and scoring 17 goals.

Despite losing narrowly to Scotland, Haiti impressed and know defeat will leave their qualification hopes hanging by a thread.

Türkiye vs Paraguay

Both Türkiye and Paraguay enter the Group D match to get their first points of the tournament.

While Turkey ended its 8-game unbeaten streak against Australia, Paraguay suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat against the USA, which it faced for the first time in the World Cup after 16 years.

While the USA and Australia already have three points each, another defeat could leave both sides on the brink of elimination.

Netherlands vs Sweden

The Netherlands will face an in-form Sweden in the crucial Group F clash at Houston’s NRG Stadium.

The Dutch settled for a 2-2 draw against Japan in the opener and now need a win to keep their qualification chances in check.

But Sweden were brimming with confidence after a commanding 5-1 win against Tunisia. Another win would take the Scandinavians to the Round of 32, while a Dutch win would mark a dramatic end to the group.
