Fifteen people in hospital after bus hits pedestrians outside London Victoria station

Fifteen people were taken to hospital after a bus hit a pavement and hit the pedestrians during a rush clock accident near one of the most intense stations in London.
Metropolitan police, London ambulance service, London Air Ambulance and London Fire Brigade, 24 hours after the participation of a traffic collision of around 8.20 after the report was called to the London Victoria Station on Thursday, a major emergency intervention was initiated.
In total, the police said that 17 people were injured in the incident, two people were treated at the scene and 15 people were taken to hospital, including bus passengers and drivers. Officers said that none of them were subjected to life -threatening injuries and was not arrested.
Eyewitnesses, while the bus traveling from Westminster, “really goes fast and left the road,” he said. “There were about 15, 16 people in the bus. People were screaming – scary.”

A London ambulance service spokesman said: “Today at 8.20, Westminster was called for a traffic collision reports in Victoria Street.
“Ambulance teams, advanced medical officials, a quick intervention car, a medical officer, a clinical team manager, an event intervention officer, a command support vehicle and dangerous space intervention team, such as a series of resources such as health officials.
“We also sent London’s air ambulance. We treated 17 people in total. We took 15 patients to the hospital and discharged two patients at the scene.”

In recent years, two pedestrians have been killed in bus accidents in Victoria. The bus station was closed at the end of 2023 for work designed to increase pedestrian safety and accessibility for partially visioned passengers.
More than 59 million passengers used Victoria in 2023, which made it the third most intense station in the London Metro.
