Fifteen people rushed to hospital after ‘boat explosion’ in Miami
At least 15 people, including a minor, were hospitalized after a boat exploded off Miami Beach on Saturday.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a call about a possible boat explosion at Haulover Beach on Saturday around 1 p.m.
The explosion reportedly occurred near the sand bar. Miami Herald reported.
Upon arrival, firefighters transferred the call to a Level 2 Mass Casualty Incident and more than 25 units responded to the call. CBS News reported.
It is not known if there were any deaths or what could have caused the possible explosion.
Dispatch audio said multiple burn victims were found and some were found in the water, the Miami Herald reported.
Lifeboats and an air unit are used by authorities.
Emergency personnel are still on scene. Authorities have not confirmed whether a boat exploded.

The beach is best known as a nudist beach. It is one of the top 10 nudist beaches in the world.
Sandbar often hosts parties on weekends. The Sandbar is accessible during low tide.
The beach is located in North Miami and is half a mile long. Hundreds of tourists and locals flock to the beach during the warmer months.
