Fiji PM Sitiveni Rabuka Begins Four-Day India Visit To Strengthen Bilateral Ties | India News

In the Ligamas of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji Citiven, Rabuka came to the new Delhi on Sunday for a four -day official visit accompanied by his wife Sululweti Rabuka.

According to Mea, Rabuka will be in India between 24-27 August.
His visit will begin in the new Delhi and will first hold a meeting with the Cabinet Minister of the Union. On August 25, Rajghat is planned to pay tribute and will later meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Haydarabad House.
The two leaders will witness Mous exchange and publish joint press statements. Later in that day, Rabuka will also call President Droupadi Murmu in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
By continuing its occupation, Fiji leader Sapru House will give a conference organized by the Council of Indian World Affairs at House. The visit will result in his departure from Delhi on 27 August.
The upcoming participation was followed by the latest high -level stock exchanges between the two countries.
India’s connections with Fiji began in 1879 when the Indian workers (‘Girmitiyas’) were brought under the cutting system to work at sugar cane plantations. Between 1879 and 1916, approximately 60,553 Indians were appointed to Fiji. Since the beginning of the 20th century, Indian merchants and others began to come to Fiji.
In 1920, the recess system was removed. Before Fiji’s independence in 1970, India has been a commission member since 1948, and later it was promoted to the Supreme Commissioner after independence.
