Fiona Bruce halts Question Time as she makes important announcement | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Question Time presenter Fiona Bruce dramatically paused tonight’s episode of the political show to share a big update with BBC viewers. In tonight’s episode of the show, Fiona was joined by Emma Reynolds, Victoria Atkins, Daisy Cooper, Rachel Millward and Zia Yusuf on the panel for the UK Election Special, filmed in Maidenhead, Kent. However, at one point Bruce told the live audience and viewers at home that there would be a major scheduling change on the show next week. The broadcaster said: “I would like to point out that we are in London for our show next week and will not be on air on Thursday. This is election results night.

“We will be on air on Friday when most of the results will be announced, so we will see where we are.

“So if you want to be part of that show in London next Friday, go to the Question Time website and follow the instructions there.”

The show will continue as usual on Thursday, May 14, where it is filmed in Brecon.

In another part of this evening’s (Thursday, April 30) episode, Reform’s Youssef said the threat to Jewish people in the UK was “actually real” following this week’s stabbings in north London.

Asked what could be done to protect the Jewish community, he told the panel: “I think the levels of antisemitism, the levels of extremism in this country, are no longer acceptable.”

Meanwhile, Green Party MP Rachel Milward described the Golders Green attacks as “appalling” and said her party wanted everyone to “stand together against all forms of racist hatred”.

He also said: “The truth is that it would be utterly ridiculous for any political party to claim that there is no antisemitism in their party and there is no racism in their party.

“We have 230,000 members, and of course some of those people are not going to share our values. We’re doing everything we can to resolve that.”

Question Time episodes can be watched on BBC iPlayer.
