Fire breaks out at chemical solvent unit in Hyderabad’s Jeedimetla, firefighting underway

A major fire broke out at the chemical solvent industry unit at Ram Reddy Nagar in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad, on Thursday morning, April 9, 2026, triggering a massive fire-fighting operation. There was no loss of life or injury in the incident.

According to fire officials, a distress call was received at 7:28 a.m. and four fire trucks were subsequently dispatched to the scene. Fire trucks from Sanathnagar, Secunderabad, Kukatpally and Cantonment were deployed to control the fire. Fire crews are at the scene and continue their work to extinguish the flames.
