Fire Breaks Out at Terminal 1 of Mumbai International Airport

Mumbai: A fire broke out in Terminal 1 of Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Thursday evening, a civic official said, adding that extinguishing operations were ongoing.

He said no casualties were reported.

The fire was reported at 6.35 pm in a three-storey structure near 1-B Circle and vehicles of the Mumbai Fire Brigade rushed to the spot, the official said.

Stating that the flames were limited to the ground floor, the official added that more details were expected.
