Fisheries Department Mandates Transponders For Safety

Visakhapatnam: As the threat of cyclones and excessive weather conditions appeared for the next five months, he applied additional precautionary measures to protect fishermen and marine workers. On Saturday, the government issued a directive that requires all fishing boats to activate their built -in transponders during sea operations.
The department confirmed that the 634 mechanized boat in Visakhapatnam Balıkçılık Port was equipped with transponders provided by completely 100% government subsidies. These wireless communication devices work along the Nabhi Mitra satellite system, which provides real -time monitoring, ship monitoring and supervision in coastal waters.
The Nabhi Mitra application allows authorities and families to monitor active boats and send warnings when ships act as an early warning tool passing through the sea borders. Authorities expressed their concerns about the reports that some transponders were closed while the boats were at sea and endangered emergency intervention efforts.
