Fitness Icon Denise Austin, 68, Recreates Photoshoot 30 Years Later With Same Blue Leotard: ‘Flashback Friday’

The 68-year-old exercise queen, who rose to stardom thanks to her workout tapes and DVDs that get millions of Americans moving, has become a staple of the activity movement and even served as a member of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Showing that she’s still going strong these days, Austin took to Instagram to share a side-by-side photo of herself wearing one of the iconic blue leotards of the time. Paired with blue socks and high-top sneakers, it’s safe to say the exercise entrepreneur has remained virtually unchanged in three decades.

“Flashback Friday!!! Then and now!! LONG LIFE BABY!! It’s so much fun to relive these incredible memories!!! I wore this leotard 30 years ago while filming my TV show and WOW I’m so HAPPY I saved it!!!!” Denise captioned the side-by-side photo, in which she has her arms behind her in a lunge position and her blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail. “I feel as great now as I did then!! That’s why I’m such a believer in daily movement!! Exercising regularly, even if it’s just going for a walk, can do wonders for your health!!! You deserve to feel your best all the time…Because YOU are worth it!!! I love you all Denise. Xoxo.”
