The detached five-bedroom property boasts stunning views as it is located on a luxurious stretch of coastline in Porthcawl, South Wales.
It is surrounded by spacious houses with balconies and tidy backyards on the prestigious West Drive residential road.
But the entrance to the hidden property known as Brampton House is barely visible as it is swallowed by trees and bushes.
Neighbors, who were trying to determine the owner of the house, stated that the house was mysterious.
One person said: ‘I’ve been trying to get it for 25 years but I’ve never been able to find out who it officially belongs to.
‘There was a man living there until about two and a half years ago, but you would never believe it. It looked derelict then.
‘I believe he may have been the owners’ son, but it is very unclear who actually owned it and whether he was allowed to stay there.’
The neighbor went on to describe the condition of the garden, saying that it “was cut down six months ago, so it looked even bigger before that.”

‘I imagine apartments will be built there, but who knows.’
Houses on the premium high street rarely come to market, with one currently selling for £1.1 million, property experts Rightmove say.

There are rumors that it once belonged to a lawyer and his family.
A neighbor said: ‘The Morgan family lived there; His father was a lawyer, his mother was a housewife, and his son, who was also a lawyer, never married and never moved away.’
Another added: ‘I was friends with Glyn’s son when I was a kid. I went there many times. Don’t forget there were old service bells in the kitchen.’
The house will go up for auction with BTG Eddisons on June 25.
