Five children hospitalised after ‘large’ tree falls on people in park – police declare ‘serious incident’

After a ‘big’ tree fell to the people in the park, five children were taken to hospital, the police and the fire department ‘a serious event’ declared.

Air ambulances, medical officials, police and fire brigade, today just before 15:00 Southend-on-Sea, Essex’teki Chalkwell Park ran.

Southend West and Leigh deputy David Burton-Sampson, in an article in X, was called ‘anxiety’ event.

Workers wrote: ‘I’m waiting for more details. In the meantime, please avoid speculation until all details are published. My thoughts are affected. ‘

An Essex Police Spokesman said: ‘We are staying at a serious scene in Chalkwell Park in Southend.

‘Ambulance and firefighters, as well as civil servants respond. We were warned for a tree reports falling in the park shorter than 15:00.

“ There have been some losses and our work at the scene continues.

An Eastern British ambulance spokesman Mailonline told: ‘We were called to inform a tree in Chalkwell Park in Westcliff-on-Sea at 2.55.

‘Six ambulances, three ambulance officers vehicles, London Air ambulance and Kent Air ambulance was sent to the scene.

“ Two children were transferred to Southend University Hospital by Road.

‘Three children were then carried to the same hospital with slight injuries.’

An Essex County Fire Department and Rescue Service Spokesperson said: ‘We are in a serious scene working with ambulance and police colleagues at Chalkwell Park.

“ Today we were called to the reports of a large -fell tree before 15:00. There have been a series of losses and our work continues.

‘Our urban search and rescue team is joining with firefighters and civil servants.

‘We want the public to avoid the region while our study continues.’

Deputy Burton-Sampson later added to X: ‘As you know, a tree fell and a series of losses were confirmed.

‘We want the people to avoid the region and allow emergency services to do their jobs.’
