Five-year-old girl killed after being thrown from an ATV in Chinchilla

A five-year-old girl has died after being thrown from a quad bike in Queensland’s Western Downs.

Emergency services were called to a private property on Chinchilla-Tara Road in Chinchilla, about 290km west of Brisbane, shortly after 6pm on Tuesday.

The Forensic Crash Unit was notified that an ATV had rolled onto the property, throwing a five-year-old girl from the car.

He died at the scene.

The 9-year-old boy, who police said was driving an ATV, was taken to the hospital for treatment.
