Flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi to India Resume

Dubai: In a huge relief for thousands of Indians stranded in the UAE, flights to India from Dubai and Abu Dhabi resumed on Monday night. Services to Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru have resumed after days of disruption.
The atmosphere at the airports was filled with relief and joy as passengers boarded their first flights home. A stewardess on an Emirates flight from Dubai to Bengaluru welcomed passengers with a warm announcement.
“Welcome to this flight to Bengaluru. Yes, this is the first flight,” he said, setting the tone for an emotional moment for many on board.
Sanjeev Mehta, the passenger of the Dubai-Bengaluru Emirates flight, expressed his gratitude and excitement as the plane was preparing for takeoff.
“We thank the UAE authorities for starting the flights. We have just boarded the flight to Bengaluru, India. This is one of the first few flights to start,” he told ANI.
Mehta added that travelers have little time to prepare. “We were given very short notice to book tickets, but we were able to book some tickets and go to the airport. As of now, I am excited to return home,” he said.
Earlier, Dubai Airports had officially confirmed the partial resumption of operations. A limited resumption of flights began on the evening of March 2, with a small number of flights allowed from Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Center – Al Maktoum International (DWC).
However, authorities called for caution. Passengers are advised not to go to DXB or DWC unless contacted directly by their airline with a confirmed departure time.
Normalcy is slowly returning to the UAE as flights gradually take to the skies again. The long wait is finally over for thousands of Indians eager to return home.
Flight services were suspended after the US-Israeli attack on Iran on February 28. In retaliation, Iran launched a wave of drone and missile attacks targeting several countries in the region, leading to widespread flight cancellations.
