The incident occurred at a branch in the West End, an area just five miles from the city of Southampton. Police said the incident involved a man in his 50s. Police officers and paramedics arrived at the scene at around 14.30 on December 22.
A police spokesman said: “We were called to support the ambulance service attending a serious medical incident involving a man in his 50s at ASDA in the West End at 2.32pm on 22 December.
“Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the man was sadly pronounced dead.”
Next of kin have also been informed, police said.
Police added that the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
It comes just a month after a man in his 30s died in the stairwell of an Asda car park following an incident.
Unfortunately, it was determined that the man died at the scene.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: “We received a call at around 1.50pm this afternoon following concern for the welfare of a man found in the stairwell of the car park on Silver Street in Worcester.
