PM Modi UAE visit LIVE: PM Modi reaches UAE, marks the beginning of five-nation visit

UAE Minister Reem Al Hashimy highlighted the deep people-to-people contacts between her country and India, saying every Emirati will likely have “a connection with India” in one way or another.

In an interview with MOMENT Ahead of his visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that trade between India and the UAE is an important part of the relationship, be it in terms of clothes or spices, the future cannot be without a strong India and a strong UAE.

He also mentioned the respect for traditional medical knowledge in the two countries and the strengthening of bilateral ties.

“If I ask any Emirati, you will probably find that they have some connection with India. I have a few members of my family who always go to India for treatment, who are very confident in India’s knowledge of herbs, and they compare it to our knowledge of herbs, because Emiratis, like you, have a very strong fundamental respect for traditional medicine,” he said.
