‘Fulfil poll promise on granting affiliation to Haryana schools’

A private school, a union representing more than 5,000 schools in Haryana, demanded that the ruling Bharatia Janata Party should fulfill the promise of a permanent commitment to more than 1,000 schools while the future of thousands of students is in balance.

The Union also requested that unpaid dues to be paid to private schools to be admitted to the students of the Economic Department (EWS) under various government plans. An executive committee of the Union will meet on October 1 to discuss these and other demands of private schools in the state and to challenge a future action.

After establishing the government at the 2014 Assembly of the BJP election manifesto, he promised that unrecognized schools would be given permanent commitment by relieving norms, but Satyawan Kundu, the Union President of the Union, said that this promise has not been fulfilled so far.

Many of these schools have existed for more than thirty years and fulfills all the criteria except the land required according to the norms, because buildings have emerged in these schools for years and there is no empty space for expansion. Mr. Kundu said that more than 2.5 lache child from poor and middle class families received education in these budget schools.

Kundu said, “The government has been providing a temporary extension to these schools for almost ten years, but this year, the annual extension letters have not yet been taken. We demand that the government should be released immediately for the annual extension of the future of thousands of children and permanently recognizing these schools.

The Union also made a strong objection to the fact that the training department could not open MIS portal for hundreds of private schools even after a few months. The access to MIS portal, which is a central platform for various schools such as Haryana Training Department, acceptance, transfer, student promotions, allocation of roller number and student records, has prevented access to 2,808 schools in the last few weeks and 2,808 schools for the EWS students under the education law. Mr. Kundu blamed the situation on the “communication gap arasında between the school officials and the education department, and he immediately asked for access to MIS portal for these schools.

Kundi said, “In addition, the government has not paid approximately 300 crore in extraordinary dues to private schools to accept the EWS category within the scope of the Rule 134A in the Harena School Education Rules which were scrapped in 2022.

Repeated calls and short messages to look for his response to Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda remained unanswered.
