In the 20th round, three matches were decided by 90 or more. In the 21st round, there were four matches decided with a margin of more than 80 points.
In the history of the game, only the third time, dating back to 1897, four matches in a single round was decided by such a big difference. The other two events were in the second round, 2012 and 19th round 2016.
In 2012, the giants were playing their second matches and Suns was in the second season. Both teams took this round among the four teams. In 2016, Essendon had lost most of his lists due to suspension, and was blocked by Adelaide with Brisbane Lions, Fremantle and Richmond.
