Two ambulance workers arrested amid major investigation into six deaths in Wiltshire

Two ambulance service employees were arrested as part of a two -year major investigation into six deaths in Wiltshire.

Police said that a man in his 30s was arrested last year because of the intentional negligence by a great negligence man and four points of ill -treatment or a care worker.

In March of this year, a 59 -year -old woman was arrested on suspicion of heavy negligence.

A South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust spokesman said: “As soon as Trust realized any concern, we immediately started an internal investigation that immediately resulted in a police referral and we are working closely with them as part of the ongoing investigation.

“Two personnel were suspended.

“The suspension of two personnel meant that they were immediately relieved of all tasks, including the treatment of patients.

“We want to make sure that people are isolated and there is no ongoing risk for patients.

“Please continue to search for 999 in a life -threatening emergency.

“One of the two people who were initially suspended is no longer used by Güven.

“Because of the ongoing investigation, there will be no other comment at this stage.”
