Food poisoning hits Australian team as Sam Short pulls out of 800m final
Michael Phelps’s ‘untouchable’ 400 individual mixed world record breaks two years ago. La Defense Arena wins two individual Olympic gold medals in 118 minutes.
However, Ryan Lochte’s 2011 world record 200m mixed – and not only with a fraction – once again stamped.
Most swimmers chase the world record line with fingertips. Time, the World Plaque Line, definitely no 17s like Ian Thorpe, but cheating was trying to capture Marchand’s feet.
Marchand touched the wall at 1: 52.69, and during the seven gold medal on the 1972 Munich Olympics Blitzi, he flew faster than Mark Spitz’s 200 -meter free style effort.
“Actually, I can’t really believe it right now, Mar Marchand said. “It is incredible for me. Crazy, being a second. In 200m 1:52 – this is crazy. I’m so happy, I’m just amazing.”
Marchand, who studied computer science at the US college, reduced both 200m butterfly and 200m frog this year to target world records in 200M and 400m individual medles.

He spent the first part of this year in Brisbene training with Boxall and St Peter’s Western team, which includes the appreciation of O’Callaghan and Will Petric.
Petric, one of the half of the swimming in the lane, was 5.52 seconds behind Marchand.
Marchand, among the surfing trips to Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, spent time developing free style with Boxall.
“This group was really welcomed by the first week. They were incredible, Marc Marchand said in an interview with Swimswam earlier this year. “It was a great experience. I learned a lot about getting better in Freestyle. This group is really good for that.”
In these sessions, several strips, O’Callaghan, rediscovered his love for swimming after the 200 -meter free -style gold medal in Paris.

He delivered again on Wednesday night. O’Callaghan (1: 53.48) swams a clinical race to adjust the early pace before charging the American Claire Weinstein, in the last round to win 1.04 seconds in the last round.
“A positive environment is definitely making a difference, O’callaghan said. “It’s nice to come to a pool and feel at home.
“Come here, it was one of the last things I thought I would do. At the beginning of the year, I would be shocked if you told me that I would be the world champion again.”
Australia had two real gold medals on the fourth night. They left with someone – and what could happen.
Short, 800 -meter free style finals will not be listed after the team was swung by a food poisoning drama.
Short won the silver medal at the 2023 World Championships and became the fastest second -e -elimination for the final. In 2005, the 800 -meter -style World Championship, since Grant Hackett, aimed to become the first Australian to win gold.
Ahmed Jaouadi of Tunisia received gold at 7: 36.88, the best of Short 7: 37.76.
Swimming Australia says no other athlete is affected.
Dol Dolphins Head Coach Rohan Taylor said, “You know you don’t feel good for him to swim tonight, because he’s an ultra -rival,” he said.
The unexpected story of the night was not only the bronze, but was Turner, who broke the Australian record in Nick D’Arcy’s 200 -meter butterfly.
Turner’s team – aside from the podium – wasn’t expected to do it, but in recent months it has lowered great personal best.

“I never thought I was going to talk to you.
In half of these world championships, the dolphins are still in one of the USA on four gold.
There is already a world with two gold in Singapore. Instead, there is a 400 -meter free style – 0.02 seconds – and there is a painful stomach to be followed in the coming days. He hopes to be right for the 4x200m free style relay.
Kaylee McKkeown’s absence of 50 -meter back strokes may have cost Australia in another gold medal in the gang. Throw the fact that Ariarne Titanus has received a year’s permission.
However, if Marchand and Canada’s Summer McIntosh continue to jam from the Americans, Australia can only be about Fukuoka 2023 – even 2001 – even over and over again.
