Malayalam Actor Janardhanan Reflects On Past 18-Year Affair

In a recent interview, veteran Malayalam actor Janardhanan opened up about an 18-year-old extramarital affair from his past. He attributed the relationship to a period when his wife, Vijayalakshmi, lost interest in physical intimacy. He justified his choice by saying that he was just a human.

The relationship ended when the other woman left him, and Janardhanan noted that his wife was aware of this from the beginning. According to his words, this relationship did not cause any trouble in the family. Now in his later years, he shared that he had to think about it openly because he had “nothing to lose.”

Janardhanan was released in 1971 and appeared in more than 700 films over a span of five decades. This huge body of work makes him a constant presence in the minds of Malayali audiences.
