Former F1 world champion Alain Prost reportedly injured in robbery at Swiss home | Formula One

Swiss police are investigating the alleged robbery, with reports that four-time Formula 1 world champion Alain Prost was injured during the home invasion. Swiss tabloid Blick reported late Friday that the 71-year-old Frenchman suffered a head injury from intruders who forced his son to open the safe during the incident on Tuesday morning.
“The perpetrators entered the residence while the occupants were present, threatened them and forced one of the family members to open the safe before escaping with the stolen goods,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement. “Despite the extensive search operation launched, the perpetrators have not been caught yet.”
Police, who did not name the victim, said several balaclava-wearing intruders “entered the home, once inside, threatened those inside and caused minor head injuries to a family member under circumstances yet to be determined.”
“The perpetrators then forced another family member to open a safe before escaping with the stolen items, a definitive inventory of which is currently being compiled.”
Blick reported that Prost, who won four world titles between 1985 and 1993, was “visibly shaken by this brutal attack” and left his home in Nyon, on the shores of Lake Geneva.
