Former Hollyoaks star Sarah-Jayne Dunn pleads for acting work five years after being sacked from the E4 soap over her £1.5M OnlyFans career
Former Hollyoaks star Sarah-Jayne Dunn has taken to Instagram to plead for an acting job five years after she was sacked from the E4 soap.
The 44-year-old actress, who has played Mandy Richardson on and off since 1996, was sacked by show bosses after she refused to leave racy website OnlyFans.
After a four-year break, during which she earned £1.5 million from the X-rated site and also worked as a pole dancing instructor, Sarah-Jayne has said she is now keen to return to acting.
On her Instagram account, she shared a photo of herself in Hollyoaks with the words: ‘I haven’t been on screen for over 4 years but that doesn’t mean I don’t want it.’
Before sharing her new headshot and writing: ‘But now? I’m a woman in my mid-40s trying to find my way back. Not because I stopped loving him.. but because somewhere along the way life changed, my priorities changed and time passed.
‘And suddenly… what once felt like mine felt even further away. But the truth that I can no longer ignore is that I still have that pull, that desire, that voice that says ‘you’re not done yet’.

She continued: ‘And honestly, admitting this out loud is both EXCITING AND TERRIBLE because this industry is moving fast and as a woman in her 40s stepping back into it? This requires a different kind of trust.
‘But perhaps it brings more… experiences, depth and stories untold before. This is me… I re-emerge as an actor; ‘Not who I used to be, but who I am now.’
‘If you’re choosing, creating, or reading this… I’m here. And if you ever feel the urge to return to something you love, go for it! And suddenly… what had once felt like mine felt even further away’.
Sarah continued: ‘But here’s the truth I can no longer ignore; I still have that pull, that desire, that voice: “You’re not done yet.” And if I’m being honest… admitting that out loud is both EXCITING AND TERRIBLE.’

Last year Sarah claimed OnlyFans was ‘safer’ than working on Hollyoaks.
She said she now feels more in control after previously falling victim to a horrific stalker ordeal in which she was bombarded with ‘disturbing’ messages from bosses showing she couldn’t do anything about it.

He added the following statements to his post: “I’m scared, I’m excited, I’m not sure but I think I’m ready.”
‘I was getting horrible messages on Instagram through an account, it was really disturbing, I went to Hollyoaks with it and contacted the police. But they do nothing and cannot do anything. And it’s very scary.”
Sarah continued: ‘I went to Hollyoaks and it was a case of ‘okay, just send us what he sent you’. ‘Then I went to the police and there’s not much they can do, it’s actually really scary.’
He explained how, unlike other social media sites, the messages sent to him on OnlyFans are pixelated and he can now choose whether or not to look at them.
Sarah accused bosses of ‘blatant hypocrisy’ after she was ‘sexualized’ through calendar shots on the soap.
She also revealed trolls angrily branded her ‘cheap’ for joining OnlyFans but insisted she ‘wish she had done it sooner’.

She said: ‘I have been sexualized and made the object of sexual desire my entire adult life.
‘Am I then going to be told I can’t do it on my own terms? That was the part that really bothered me because it didn’t make sense to me.’
