Former ‘super Mayor’ Tiffany Henyard accused of owing nearly $10,000 in unpaid Illinois rent
Old Dolton, Illinois “Super Mayor” Tiffany Henyard and her boyfriend were accused of owing thousands in unpaid rent while trying to run for office in Georgia.
In March, WGN Investigations reported Henyard had been ordered to return to Illinois after Henyard’s former landlord, Genetta Hull, accused the controversial mayor of failing to pay rent during the final months of Henyard’s Illinois term.
When Henyard failed to appear in court, Hull was given a default judgment of $10,000.
But on Monday, Henyard’s lawyer made a successful plea to appoint a new judge and hold the hearing on June 1.

“Do you know how fake news got on the news and it said I was fined $10,000?” Henry said in the video. “Guess what? They didn’t tell you that. It was evacuated. I’m sure they won’t report it. It’s fake news.”

He argued in the video that a “family emergency” was keeping him from going to Illinois court and repeated that he lives in Georgia.

“At the end of the day, all these lies, all this fake news, all this propaganda and all this stuff you’ve all heard, I say to all of you, stop believing all this hype,” Henyard said.
