Former WWE employee reveals new abuse allegations against Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon, a former WWE employee and former CEO who is suing the company, made new, graphic allegations in a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut earlier this week.

Janel Grant, who filed her first lawsuit against WWE, McMahon and former manager John Laurinaitis, detailed more allegations about how she was allegedly recruited to work for WWE, allegations of “abuse” she faced while WWE leaders allegedly did nothing, and other allegations.

Laurinaitis was previously removed from the case.

Fox News Digital has reached out to McMahon’s attorney and WWE for comment.

Grant, who worked for WWE from June 2019 to 2022, alleged that she was “subject to repeated physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault, and sexual trafficking” by McMahon and that he “knew about and facilitated the abuse experienced by many senior officials and talent.”

“Instead of protecting Ms. Grant, WWE and McMahon conspired to use their coercive control over Ms. Grant to conceal their leader’s wrongdoings and prevent Ms. Grant from speaking openly or seeking help,” the lawsuit states.

Grant made allegations that he had “violent” sexual relationships with McMahon and others.

“For three years, the sex was violent, invasive, degrading, and resulted in injuries that could not heal because violent encounters would later occur, often involving other men or objects,” the lawsuit said.

“Miss Grant did not make a complaint about his harassment because she was living under duress and was completely under McMahon’s control, with her survival ultimately dependent on her complete submission to McMahon.”

Grant alleged in the lawsuit that McMahon pressured her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and sexually assaulted her after she signed the document.

The allegations are part of ongoing litigation between the parties.

McMahon resigned as CEO of WWE in 2022 and left by TKO in 2024 after the initial lawsuit was filed. He maintained his innocence throughout the process.

“The outrageous allegations of sexual abuse and coercion in the complaint are pure fiction – clearly for publicity purposes – and are clearly contradicted by Plaintiff’s contemporaneous statements,” McMahon said in a filing in April 2024.

“Contrary to Plaintiff’s unfounded allegations, Plaintiff and Defendant (collectively, the ‘Parties’) were in a consensual relationship in which Defendant did not force Plaintiff to do anything and did not mistreat Plaintiff in any way.

“In fact, in a love letter she wrote to the Defendant shortly before the Parties ended their relationship, the Plaintiff described the Defendant as follows: ‘[m]my best friend, my love, and my everything,” she says, praising him for being “the wonderful, sensitive, sensitive, sincere soul that you truly are.”

“It is incredible that Plaintiff, a 42-year-old woman whose resume claims to have a law degree from Pace University, wrote these words to Defendant months after all of the events related to the harassment, coercion, and ‘sex trafficking’ allegations in the Complaint occurred.”

TKO Group told The Associated Press in January 2024 that it took Grant’s allegations “very seriously.”

“Mr. McMahon does not control TKO nor does he oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE,” the company said at the time. “While this matter pre-dates our TKO executive team’s tenure at the company, we take Ms. Grant’s egregious allegations very seriously and are addressing this matter internally.”
