Four killed as car collides with bus due to fog in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur

Police said that four people were killed and one person was injured when the car they were traveling in collided with a Punjab Roadways bus on Hoshiarpur-Dasuya road on Saturday (January 10, 2026) morning.
“The accident occurred due to reduced visibility due to dense fog,” police said. The deceased were identified as Sukhwinder, Sushil Kumar, Brij Kumar and Arun Kumar, residents of Chalet village in Himachal Pradesh.
The injured person, identified as Amit Kumar from the same village, was admitted to the Civil Hospital in Hoshiarpur for treatment.
Station House Officer, Hariana Sub-Inspector Kiran Singh said that the five men had traveled to Amritsar airport. “When the vehicle reached near Dosarka, the driver could not notice the bus due to dense fog, leading to a collision,” he said.
