CM Revanth Reddy to Lay Foundation Stone for ₹60,000-Crore Amazon Data Centre

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation stone of a new Amazon data center at Bharat Future City on Wednesday. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly important, Telangana is emerging as the most preferred destination for multinational companies to set up data centres.
At the World Economic Forum summit in Davos in January 2025, Revanth Reddy held key discussions with Amazon’s management team and secured an in-principle commitment for an investment of Rs 60,000 crore in Telangana, one of the largest technology investments in the state’s history.
Subsequently, in December 2025, during the Telangana Emerging Global Summit, a framework agreement was signed with Amazon for investment of ₹ 60,000 crore. Amazon has been allotted 202 acres in Bharat Future City and 98 acres in Chandanvelly. Hyderabad will host one of India’s largest hyperscale data centers with the Bharat Future City facility.
The government gave incentives and concessions worth ₹125 crore to the company. The project is expected to play an important role in the economic development of the peri-urban region (PURE). In the first phase, construction will be completed in 24 months, the remaining works will be completed in the next ten years. The overall investment in Amazon data centers in Telangana is expected to reach ₹ 60,000 crore.
Amazon Web Services positions Hyderabad as the country’s largest digital and cloud computing hub. The project will be another milestone in Telangana’s IT sector with state-of-the-art hyperscale facilities that will strengthen digital infrastructure for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, digital banking, e-commerce, healthcare, government services, startups and industries.
Telangana’s unique advantages such as land, water, energy, roads, policy support and prompt administration attract global companies to Hyderabad.
