An firefighter told reporters at the scene that the equipment of Van Company used to detect short circuits burned fire before the flames spread through the vehicle.

The Paris Fire Department added that the fire was quickly extinguished and that the explosions of the witnesses were the sound of small Aerosol boxes exploding.

The fire did not spread to other buildings, but the skin of a nearby shop suffered some burns. No injury was reported.
