A brave mother jumped into the ocean to save her four-year-old daughter, who was trapped between the cruise ship and the pier.
Heart-stopping video showed the moment crew members rushed to help the unidentified couple and threw their life preservers into the water at Carnival’s Celebration Key, the company’s first-class getaway in the Bahamas.
A security guard can be seen holding spectators back as the crew lowers a ladder into the water between the massive Carnival Sunrise ship and the slippery dock.
“Police officers are coming off the boat,” the creator can be heard saying while recording the Dec. 21 debacle.
The video shows crew members dressed in beige and blue struggling with lifeguards as they pull the girl to safety.
Rescuers and bystanders erupted with joyful screams and applause as the four-year-old boy was cradled in the arms of a nearby woman.
Shortly after, the team brought out the brave mother in her pink swimsuit and the crowd applauded again.

In a statement to the Daily Mail from Carnival Cruise Line, ‘A 4-year-old girl briefly wandered away from her mother and fell into the water.
‘His mother immediately jumped after him. Our ship and security team quickly brought them both to safety and our medical team evaluated them. “They’re both in good shape.”
The user who posted the emotional video explained that he started recording after hearing screams coming from outside while sitting in his room at Carnival Fethi.
‘Looks like people fell in between the pier and the Carnival Sunrise,’ he wrote in his caption.
‘They retreated to safety! A mother jumped after her baby, brave woman! It was a very frightening situation but they were rescued quickly!’
The family even reached out to the creator and added this in their comments: ‘I just received a message from the mother who jumped after her child.
