French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu resigns after less than a month

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu resigned shortly after a day after the announcement of his cabinet.
Elysée Palace made the announcement after Lecornu met President Emmanuel Macron for an hour on Monday morning.
The shock movement was appointed as the prime minister after the collapse of the previous François Bayrou government.
The parties on the board of the National Assembly strongly criticized the composition of Lecornu’s cabinet, which was largely unchanged and threatened to vote.
A few parties are now invading for early elections, some want Macron to resign – but he said he wouldn’t always stop before it ended in 2027.

Former Minister of Armed Forces and Macron Loyalist Lecornu was the fifth prime minister of France in less than two years.
French politics has been quite unstable recently since July 2024, Snap Parliamentary elections resulted in a hanging parliament.
This made it difficult for any prime minister to receive the necessary support to pass any invoice.
The Bayrou government was voted in September after refusing to support the bitch squeezing budget aimed at reducing parliament’s government expenditures € 44 billion ($ 51 billion; $ 38 billion).
The deficit of France reached 5.8% of GDP in 2024 and the national debt is 114% of GDP. This is equivalent to almost € 50,000 per French citizen after Greece and Italy.
On Monday morning, after Lecornu’s resignation, the stocks fell sharply on the Paris Stock Exchange.
