Funeral held for Norman Tebbit at Bury St Edmunds cathedral

Former Conservative Party leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith, who followed Lord Tebbit as Cingford deputy in northern London, read a religious passage.
Sir Iain called Lord Tebbit as a “great servant” to his country with a “wonderful bad sense of humor”.
Among the other conservative party figures participating in the funeral were Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg, Sir Graham Brady, Lord Deben and Barones Therese Coffey.

Lord Dobbs said Lord Tebbit decided to abandon politics to look at his wife and described his devotion to Margaret as a “total”.
Lord Tebbit served as Cabinet Minister in the Government of Margaret Thatcher and worked as the President of the Conservative Party in the 1980s.
Lord Tebbit, a loyal ally of Thatcher, supported his agenda and introduced laws designed to prevent union power – including making them responsible for damages if they take illegal actions.
