Furious families ATTACK owners of Swiss inferno nightclub where youngsters burned to death: Terror is etched on female manager’s face as parents scream ‘you killed my son – you’ll pay for this’

Angry family members of victims of a New Year’s Eve nightclub fire in Switzerland attacked the owners this morning after parents blamed them for their children’s deaths.
When Jacques and Jessica Moretti arrived at the prosecutor’s office in Sion for the fourth day of their interrogation, dozens of grieving relatives gathered around the building’s entrance, wearing clothes bearing pictures of their dead loved ones.
The duo, who blamed the fire on a waiter who also died, are under judicial custody after the fire at Le Constellation in the Crans-Montana ski resort on January 1, which killed 41 people and injured 115 people.
When they entered the building to testify on Thursday morning, several relatives rushed towards the couple, who were accompanied only by a police officer and their lawyer.
‘It was a real mafia. The Morettis had almost no protection when the relatives’ anger erupted. A reporter at the scene told 20 Minuten: Everyone attacked the inn owners, who were pushed against the wall of the building and could not escape.
While angry relatives hurled insults at the couple hiding behind their lawyers, a crying parent was heard shouting, “You killed my son, you killed 40 people, you will pay for it.”
Ms Moretti, 40, broke down in tears as she walked through the crowd and it is alleged that the brother of one of the victims, 17-year-old Trystan, even tried to kick her after repeatedly asking her to look into his eyes.
Trystan’s mother Vinciane Stucky was also there this morning and told local media: ‘We will neither forgive nor forget.’

Family members of the victims of the deadly fire at the bar ‘Le Constellation’ in Crans-Montana embrace before the hearing of the bar’s owners, Jacques and Jessica Moretti, before the prosecutor of the canton of Valais
“I want Jessica Moretti to know how hard she hit fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters,” Trystan’s father said Thursday morning.
Christian Pidoux (right), who lost his son Trystan in a fire, cries before the hearing at the Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Valais in Sion on February 12, 2026.
‘I’m here for Trystan,’ said his father, Christian Podoux. ‘I want Jessica Moretti to know how hard she hit fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters. He distanced himself and left Constellation. The others, the young people, were very helpful and he just left. This is not true.’
The young victim’s younger siblings, Tobyas, 14, and Yaelle, 15, were also there alongside their parents as they joined the angry mob upon the Morettis’ arrival.
“We want Jessica Moretti to apologize,” they told local journalists. ‘I’m Trystan’s little brother and I came here to show Jessica Moretti that she destroys families, to look her in the eye.’
Tobyas added: ‘What’s happening is not normal. We want justice. Moretti is undoubtedly guilty, as are the municipality of Crans-Montana and the canton of Valais.’
While the French couple accused their young staff of causing the inferno and blocking the escape route, leaked interview recordings show them saying: “It’s not us, it’s the others.”
The Morettis’ defense strategy during their nearly 20-hour interrogation by three prosecutors was to specifically blame 24-year-old waitress Cyane Panine for standing on a colleague’s shoulders while shaking two champagne bottles containing lit sparklers.
Cyane, who died in the fire, was wearing a promotional helmet and did not see the pyrotechnics illuminating the bar’s basement ceiling, which was covered in highly flammable foam.
Referring to the champagne sparkler display that was filmed, Mr Moretti told the inquest it was ‘Cyane’s display’.
“I didn’t forbid him from doing it,” he told prosecutors, adding: “I didn’t make him pay attention to the safety instructions. We didn’t see the danger. Cyane liked doing it; it was a show, he liked being part of the show.”
He had previously claimed: ‘Cyane loved delivering these bottles; He did this of his own volition.
‘If I thought there was even the slightest risk I would ban it. ‘In ten years of running this business I never thought there would be any danger.’
The French couple is under criminal investigation, facing charges of involuntary manslaughter by negligence, causing bodily harm by negligence and arson by negligence.
They face up to 20 years in prison if charged and found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.
