Bungling eejits Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves have betrayed the British people | Politics | News

So this is the point we have reached as a country. The man in charge of the Office for Budget Responsibility was forced to resign for actually doing his job and telling the truth about the country’s finances. Richard Hughes was made a scapegoat because his organization dared to challenge the lies, exaggerations, and gloomy predictions presented to the public by government crooks. Hughes’ office told Rachel Reeves in September that there was no black hole, but she omitted to tell the cabinet this crucial fact.
In October he was told again that not only was there no black hole, but there was a £4.2bn surplus, but that the devious Rachel Thieves was also hiding that little bit from her cabinet colleagues (though not Starmer, she knew) So why? This was so he could impose crippling taxes on working people to finance welfare spending that would finance the idle, the incompetent and the unemployed.
Yes, the OBR was the source of the embarrassing leak, which made the budget public before Reeves had even presented it. But this was an accidental leak.
Unlike the deliberate budget leaks that Starmer and Reeves have presided over for months, these leaks have caused turmoil in markets and businesses everywhere.
And let’s not forget that until this week Reeves was worshiping at the feet of the OBR. He loved it when he was in opposition; especially when she’s tearing Liz Truss to shreds. But now that his lies have been exposed, he wants him to leave!
Note that the OBR was created in 2010 by then-Chancellor George Osbourne to provide independent forecasts for the economy, including the outlook for inflation, unemployment and economic growth.
And that’s exactly what’s been done. But Starmer and Reeves don’t want realistic predictions; because they reveal that they are incompetent people.
They want the kind of predictions that will support what they are doing, even if they are wrong. They don’t want the truth about Britain’s paltry growth to be made public, they want THEIR (erroneous growth) forecasts to be believed so they can look like they are doing a great job – which they are not.
This Labor Government, unlike any other in living memory, produces its own facts. He literally invents a narrative and insists it is so. He believes that if he says something is true, we will all automatically believe him.
That’s why both Starmer and Reeves this week ridiculously said that they were absolutely not misleading the public about the nation’s finances, even though we know that. We have seen and heard them do this many times.
Both have been chattering about the black hole for months – Reeves estimates it at between £20bn and £40bn – but for the most part they knew there was no such black hole. And when confronted with the fact that they lied to our face, their answer is always the same: “I don’t accept that.”
Watch how many times they both use this phrase! The result is that we can’t believe a word either of them say about anything. And if they both lied to us about something as serious as Britain’s finances, what else are they lying about?
Both disgraced their offices; both attempted to deceive the British public. Both made fools of us all. More importantly, they both lack moral courage and integrity because if they had either, they would have resigned by now.
And mark my words, Starmer has stood by Reeves this week (and the last few months) not because Reeves didn’t care about him but until now he was his buffer and took all the criticism of Labour’s failed fiscal strategies. Starmer knows that if he removes the “buffer” the spotlight will fall on him and he too will be out the door.
But what kind of Prime Minister says he’s proud of a budget that funneled £26bn in taxes to hard-working people in a year’s time, after taking a £40bn tax cut? How can he be proud of spending another £16 billion on a welfare system that he claimed was broken just a few months ago?
It is difficult to even look at our hypocritical Prime Minister, who says that he understands the problems faced by the working class because he has faced them himself. The hell he has!
His father Rod wasn’t just a tool maker; He also owned a fucking company called Oxted Tool Company. And Starmer attended the local Grammar school, which became a private school two years after it started.
So no, he has no idea about the problems working class people face. Starmer is as big a fraud as his Chancellor. They both accused each other of lying about England’s finances and so both had to leave.
And it won’t last long. So far the cabinet has felt the need to support the lies and ridiculous choices of Reeves and Starmer.
But they now realize that this unscrupulous couple also lied to them by not telling them the OBR’s revised estimates, so the knives are drawn.
Reeves and Starmer clearly think sacking the OBR boss will save their sorry backsides – so they’re wrong. All that has been done is to confirm in the minds of the British people that both prefer lies to truth.
So how timely is Richard Hughes’ sacking? He was to appear before MPs at the Treasury Commission. He won’t do this anymore, which will save Reeves from further criticism.
I hope not. I hope that Mr Hughes will do what Starmer and Reeves failed to do: that he will have the moral integrity to tell the British people the truth about this insincere duo.
I hope he goes around the TV channels and newspapers and tells the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, about his dealings with these two opportunists.
Because they deceived him to save their own lives, and he doesn’t owe them anything. My fear is that he won’t say anything because he will be embarrassed by the fact that the OBR leaked the budget.
But he needs to know that the British public does not care about this leak; They care about the damaging lies told by the people they elect to represent us. It was Starmer and Reeves who betrayed the British people, not the OBR.
All he did was tell the truth!
