Brigitte Macron’s daughter Tiphaine Auziere speaks out on fake claim her mother was born a man
The French First Lady complained to authorities about online bullying in August last year, leading to arrests in December and February.
The online spiritual medium, who calls herself Amandine Roy, one of the defendants in the criminal case, spread the rumors during an interview with journalist Natacha Rey in 2021.

Another defendant, art gallery owner Aurélien Poirson-Atlan, denied the charge of cyberbullying and told the court his online posts amounted to freedom of expression and a form of satire.
Many of the defendants spread allegations posted by right-wing influencer Candace Owens, who ran a talk show on YouTube after she was fired by him. Daily Wire for making comments last year that were seen as antisemitic.
Candace Owens’ YouTube channel has 5.5 million subscribers, and recent episodes of the channel included an interview with convicted sexual assault filmmaker Harvey Weinstein; Weinstein said there was strong evidence that he was “set up”.
The Macrons filed the defamation claim against Owens in a Delaware court in July, after the French first lady repeatedly claimed that she was born a boy named Jean-Michel and was a boy.
A key feature of the US case is the Macrons’ claim that Owens tried to harass them and create pain in order to gain “attention and notoriety” for himself.

Their lawyer, Tom Clare, said last month they would present expert testimony and scientific evidence when the defamation case goes to court.
Owens called the case a threat to free speech and continued her claim from last year about the first lady’s gender.
“I stake my entire professional reputation on the fact that Brigitte Macron is, in fact, a man,” Owens said on X in March last year.
“Any journalist or publication that tries to ignore this credibility can be immediately identified as a fraud. I have never seen anything like this in my life. The implications here are appalling.”
Brigitte Macron was married to Auzière from 1974 to 2006 and they had three children. She met Emmanuel Macron in 1993, when he was 39 and she was 15. They got married in 2007.
