But on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Podcast, former royal correspondent Charles Rae says: “This perception that Harry had a poor, terrible childhood is complete nonsense. He had a lovely childhood and that unfortunately ended with the tragic death of his mother, but William and Harry both suffered so much from that, which is such a shame.” Charles even recalled a healthy game the young royal played with his security guard.
He says that the family’s bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, would give Prince Harry a radio and talk to him while he was at Kensington Palace because Harry wanted to play the role of a police officer.
