The vehicle played a key role in the series’ long-awaited finale, which aired last Christmas.

A “tidy” TV memorabilia that will see Gavin and Stacey revving their lovers’ engines has just gone on sale.

Dave’s Coaches bus from the hit BBC comedy series is now available to buy online for £200,000.

The 33-seater red vehicle, based on Steffan Rhodri’s character in the series, certainly seems to have taken its fair share of trips between Barry and Essex over the years, reaching a whopping total speed of 279,361 miles (449,587.9 km).

Featured on the Autotrader website, it was described as “a once-in-a-lifetime collectible for fans of the series.”

Dave Coaches and his bus play a key role in Gavin and Stacey’s final moments

The Mercedes-Benz Vario 814D, which has been on the road since 1990, has had eight owners so far.

According to its north London-based dealer, the “instantly recognisable” bus “remains in good condition”, is finished in a “bright red colour” and features the “legendary, original Dave’s Coaches design” on the front and sides.

She was last seen on screen playing a major role in the series. The long-awaited finale aired last Christmas.The film in which James Corden’s Smithy finally reunites with Nessa, played by Ruth Jones.

More recently, it has also been used to ferry fans around Barry Island as part of official Gavin and Stacy sightseeing tours, which last three and a half hours.

That makes it the biggest non-sports night of 2024; Wallace and Gromit is in second place with 9.38 million.

The latest Gavin and Stacey Christmas special was watched live by 11.6 million people. That number rose to 18.4 million over the next 28 days as people caught up with iPlayer.
