Turkey arrests ten suspects after wildfires, interior minister says
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said in a statement on Friday, Istanbul (Reuters) -Turkish authorities arrested ten suspects about fires exploding last week.
Forest fires killed at least two people in İzmir in the Western coastal province as fire extinguishing teams supported by planes and helicopters.
High temperatures, strong winds and low humidity also caused fires to spread rapidly.
Authorities, some of the 65 fire exploded since June 26, the use of resources and agricultural machinery near the forest area and the burning of garden wastes have determined. Yerlikaya, 15 suspects for more suspects, said legal proceedings continue.
Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli, teams struggling on Friday, the ten forest fire is largely under control, the Southeast Hatay province will continue on a night, he said.
