The former TOWIE star, who is engaged to Rami Hawash, first confirmed she was in perimenopause in an Instagram post in November last year.
She shared with her followers that she sought help from a clinic team because she was feeling a little bad lately, and called on women to listen to their bodies.
In a video clip, he said: ‘Hello friends, I wanted to share with you a journey I went on.
‘I get the weirdest symptoms, itchy ears and feeling a bit more tired than usual.
‘I too felt like there was something wrong with my hormones. I’m 44 now and it’s no secret that perimenopause can sneak up on you at any time, and I’m a little worried about it.
‘But I’m so happy, so much of a burden off my shoulders, that I managed to talk to the Voy maintenance team.
She later sang the praises of her doctor, saying: ‘And Dr Sally was there with me and I had a chat with her, she literally put my mind so at ease.
‘It was incredible, I wasn’t ashamed to ask him anything. I explained that I was feeling a little bad.
‘Dr Sally reassured me, Voy care is on, the whole thing made me feel very comfortable, so as a woman I listened, she gave me a blood test kit to take home. I can’t wait to do this.’
She wrote alongside the video: ‘Sharing my perimenopause journey because none of us should feel alone.’
‘I’ve been feeling a bit ‘off’ lately so I reached out to the amazing team at @voymenopause and honestly Dr Sally has put my mind at ease completely. I finally feel listened to and supported.
‘Ladies, if something isn’t right, listen to your body. There is help out there and you can definitely feel better.’
According to the NHS, perimenopause is when you have symptoms of menopause but your menstruation has not stopped.
Perimenopause ends and you enter menopause when you have not had a period for 12 months.

Common mental health symptoms of menopause and perimenopause include changes in your mood and problems with memory or concentration.
Meanwhile, common physical symptoms include hot flashes, difficulty sleeping, heart palpitations, headaches and migraines, muscle aches and joint pain, skin changes, decreased sex drive, recurrent urinary tract infections, and sensitive teeth.
Gemma has been extremely candid about her desire to have children, previously sharing that she has faced several miscarriages and was once advised to terminate the pregnancy of an intersex baby.
The TV personality also shared that after struggling to get pregnant naturally, she and her fiancé Rami considered going the surrogacy route and had previously revealed that she was considering fostering as her mother was placed in foster care when she was a child.
She has a low count of the hormone AMH, which means she has a limited number of eggs, and she also suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which directly affects the ovaries.
Gemma got engaged to businessman Rami last year and the couple have since revealed their plans for their upcoming nuptials, revealing they want three separate weddings.
The reality star icon revealed she wanted the main ceremony to be held in the UK, the second one abroad, followed by a ‘formal ceremony’ for her closest family and friends.
In true GC style, she added that multiple celebrations meant she was planning to buy a few different wedding dresses herself.
Gemma has been open about her past fertility struggles and has previously suffered three miscarriages.
She suffered her first heartbreaking loss in 2012 and found the strength to go public about it eight years later in 2020.
The reality star was unaware she was pregnant at the time and said the baby ‘died right in front of her’ after giving birth at home upon landing.
Gemma suffered her second pregnancy loss in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tragically, just a few months later, Gemma suffered a devastating third miscarriage in July 2020 after becoming pregnant with ex-boyfriend James Argent’s baby.
Gemma has a low number of the hormone AMH, meaning she has a limited number of eggs, and she also suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which directly affects the ovaries.
Gemma refuses to give up on her dream of becoming a mother and thinks she is miscarrying ‘every day’.
Despite her fertility issues, the star said she was open to becoming a foster parent in October last year.
Gemma, whose mother Joan grew up in foster care, recently appeared in Who Do You Think You Are? He revived his long-lost family on his show.
After finding her family on the programme, Gemma said it helped her feel more ‘complete’ and made her want to give back to children after the national fostering group warned of a care crisis.
He said: ‘I have so much love to give. ‘I always cook a good dinner.’
‘There are so many empty rooms in London and the UK,’ he added.
She’s been incredibly open about her fertility journey and recently changed her lifestyle in the hopes it would help her get pregnant.
Gemma, whose size dropped from 26 to 20, recently claimed her weight loss journey had ‘healed’ her after years of struggle.
Gemma told me OK! Magazine Wanting to be in good shape to start a family: ‘I don’t want to be an overweight mother. I am not against overweight mothers, but I want to run and play with my child.
‘I want to have as much energy as possible for my child and be the best version of myself for my child.’
Of her fertility struggles, she added: ‘I always find that nothing comes easy for me. I’ve always been the one struggling to get there!
‘This also applies to my fertility and I’m sharing this because so many people are reaching out who are going through the same thing.’
She also claimed to have reversed polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) with the help of diet guru Steve Bennett.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common condition that affects the way a woman’s ovaries work. This may mean that a woman is having difficulty getting pregnant due to irregular ovulation or lack of ovulation.
Gemma previously told the Daily Mail: ‘Since working with Steve he has reversed my PCOS so I don’t have it anymore so I’m one step closer to having a baby.
‘I went to a fertility clinic and obviously I was going to start my fertility journey in September, but I’m not sure if I should go into fertility now because hopefully I can do it naturally, plus my thyroid is doing better; I no longer have an underactive thyroid.
‘People have bullied me because of my weight, they’ve bullied me so bad for years, it’s like ‘I can’t help it, I’m active’…
‘But I don’t need to do intense exercise anymore; This is the first diet where you add and don’t subtract.’
Gemma has had PCOS since the age of 28, when she started gaining weight.
The NHS states that PCOS cannot be cured, but the symptoms can be managed.
In overweight women, the symptoms and overall risk of developing long-term health problems from PCOS can be greatly improved by losing excess weight.
Just a 5 percent weight loss can lead to a significant improvement in PCOS.
