A potential energy source stuck on underground rocks fled British politicians for generations.

This is called Shayl Gas and the method of removing the place known as Fracking has become politically difficult.

Fracking, a shortening of hydraulic breakage, has been banned by different prime ministers many times on earthquakes and environmental impacts since 2011.

Nevertheless, the reform, the leader in the national opinion polls, believes that it is worth going after the gas.

“We have potentially hundreds of billions of energy treasures,” Richard Tice, the leader and energy spokesman of the party.

He continued: “To leave this value underground and not to remove the degree of penalty to be largely negligent.”

The party, led by Nigel Farage, tells the energy firms to prepare for a “drill, baby, exercise” if it enters the government after the next general elections.

Reform UK says it is serious about Şeyl – but will their plans be successful where many people fail?

Fracking in the UK will show that the history will not be easy.

Şeyl failed

Fracking has been going on in the British oil and gas industry for decades and flew under political radar until 2010, when Shayl gas removal began in the United States.

At that time, Charles Hendry was the Minister of Energy, and at first he was cautious about the expectations of a US -style gas explosion.

However, the abortion efforts of the last decade have turned the former Torah deputy into a skeptic.

Fracking projects, delays, small earthquakes, legal challenges and permanent protests were blocked by planning former Prime Minister David Cameron slowly followed a screening.

As a result, Cameron’s promised “Shayl Gas Revolution” never took place, and in 2019, tremor was recorded in a Fracking region and led to a ban.

“When the theft hit the truth, it wasn’t what people hoped,” hendry says. “It is much more difficult than in the USA. It is more expensive. It is more polluting. More destructive.”

The former minister says there are less space in the United States than in the United States, and ultimately more obstacles.

Considering the level of opposition to eliminating these obstacles, Hendry says Britain’s reform is wrong for the effort of Shayl gas.

“Even reform voters will be in their arms about the idea,” hendry said.

The latest attempt to make Fracking again continues is another stimulus fairy tale.

When the former Prime Minister Liz Truss last lifted the Fracking ban in 2022, the opposition forced the deputies to vote on this issue and gained the government, although he won the government, and gave confidence in the leadership of a great rebellion of the MPs and resigned the next day.

His successor Rishi altar, the moralerator of Fracking, he said, and now the Labor Party government plans to permanently prohibit implementation.

So, how will the reform navigate in this political minefield?

Richard Tice said that Britain should benefit the best way to benefit from gas resources

First, Tice says that reform UK will immediately remove any fracking ban.

Secondly, a reform says that the British government will work with oil and gas companies using new subtraction techniques to explore Shayl gas in the independently monitored Fracking wells.

“This will confirm the existing amount of gas and satisfy people safe,” Tice says.

The British Geological Research (BGS) has identified four areas of commercial shale gas extraction potential and has several countries in Lancashire and Midlands, the largest spread.

In a leading 2013 study, BGS said that more tests are needed to prove that Shayl gas development is technically and economically suitable “in the UK. Even then, BGS said, “The conditions that support Shayl gas production in North America will be repeated in the UK,” he said.

Despite this uncertainty, Tice is rising and they say that in two years, Fracking for Shayl gas is valuable in the UK.

However, unlike the Labor Party, which promised to spend £ 28 billion per year, reform UK would not deposit any public money to Fracking.

“The government’s job is to create an attractive regulatory and tax framework.” Says.

Although the next general election is potentially closed for years, they prepare the basis of Fracking resurrections at meetings with Tice and Farage, oil and gas companies.

A few months ago, at such a meeting in Aberdeen, Scotland, Tice and Farage told these companies to prepare applications for licenses to search for shale gas.

“Don’t write England,” Tice said. “Keep us in mind and until the next general election, you should take your ducks on top of each other and prepare the applications.”

In the 2010s, there were frequent protests in the fracking areas in the UK

Reform, Mayor of Lincolnshire from the UK, Andrea Jenkyns, also met Egdon Resources, an oil and gas company with a license to target the Shayl gas in an area known as Fracking and recently known as Gowsborough.

The company is analyzing by the accounting company Deloitte, estimating that the gas in the groove may be worth £ 140 billion to the UK economy and can create 250,000 jobs.

Deloitte assessment is not public and does not share a copy of Egdon Resources with BBC.

Mark Abbott, CEO of Egdon Resources, said the company will try to invest in millions of shale gas if the regulatory environment permits it.

“Clearly, the reform has a more supportive policy than we’ve seen it for a while,” he says.

Star Energy Group is another company with interest in areas with potential shale beds.

CEO Ross Glover met the reform in Lincolnshire, where the party controls the District Council, members of the British Assembly.

“We know it’s a first -class source there, Gl Glover says. “I believe that Britain needs wind, sun, geothermal, local energy they can get.”

Energy transition

Warwick Business School has a feeling of Déjà vu for Michael Bradshaw, a global energy professor.

He has been studying Fracking policies for years and says the last time the industry has not made progress.

“The study, conducted by geologists in our research program, claimed that the complex geology of the Shayl basins in the UK would significantly make it difficult and make it costly,” Bradshaw said.

He says that the estimated cost of producing British Shayl may mean that he cannot compete with cheaper gas imported from Norway or elsewhere.

As a result, Professor Bradshaw says energy bills will not be lower in the short term.

In any case, with labor in the government, Fracking is not a start.

The worker focuses on improving the renewable energy of England and aims to meet 100% of electricity demand by 2030.

Energy Minister Miatta Fahnbulleh said that the Labor Party has gone out to “seize the opportunities of clean energy transition”.

“We are planning to ban Fracking for good and make England a clean energy superpower to protect future generations,” Fahnbulleh said.

“The biggest risk for our energy safety is to be connected to the fossil fuel markets and can it back to the control of the UK energy by sprinkling clean power until only 2030 and protect consumers from energy costs?”

Although fossil fuels are expected to be a feature of England’s energy and economic systems in the coming years, their role decreases as countries return to cleaner alternatives.

If a reform government returns to Fracking in 2029, he can take himself in a world trying to go to green.
