‘Ghostbusters’ actress Jennifer Runyon dead at 65 after cancer battle

Jennifer Runyon, known for her roles in “Charles in Charge” and “Ghostbusters,” died Friday, Fox News Digital confirmed. He was 65 years old.
Her rep confirmed that Runyon had died following a six-month battle with cancer.
“Our beloved Jennifer passed away last Friday night, it was a long and difficult journey that ended with her being surrounded by her family,” her family said in a statement on social media.

“He will always be remembered for his love of life and devotion to his family and friends.”
He also wrote, “She looks down on us all with her beautiful smile. Rest in peace our Jenn.”
Erin Murphy, who played young Tabitha Stephens on “Bewitched,” mourned the loss of her close friend on social media.

“It is heartbreaking to share that my friend Jennifer Runyon Corman has passed away after a brief battle with cancer,” Murphy wrote.
“You know you’re going to be friends with some people before you meet them. She was a special woman. I will miss you, Jenn. My thoughts are with your family and your beautiful children.”
The Chicago-born actor made his big screen debut in the 1980 film “Good Night Everybody” and then earned a supporting role in the soap opera “Another World.”

Runyon starred in the 1984 blockbuster “Ghostbusters” as a famous student who Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) tests for ESP.

That same year, Runyon worked on “Up the Creek” and then played the role of Gwendolyn Pierce in the sitcom “Charles in Charge.”
Runyon is survived by her husband, Todd Corman, and her two children, son Wyatt and daughter Bayley.
